Remember when your mother told you that you are not allowed to skate in the house? Well, you should totally take her to visit the PAS House, just to prove her that you indeed can! The PAS House is the fantasy of every skateboard lover, for is a home build to allow you to skate every inch of it. There will be nobody telling you that you cannot skate on the table, because you actually totally can. Specially build for Pierre Andre Senizergues (PAS), a Pro Skater and former Wold Champion, this house looks nothing like the traditional space you live in.
The objective of the architects was to create a fully functional space, that would cover all the requirement of a basic dwelling, while still making sure, every inch of space is fully skateable. They managed that by building the house as a ribbon that would eventually crate a loop. The steady parts of the “ribbon” serve as a functional space with the regular kitchen, bathrooms and bedrooms. The looped part however serves as a skating training space.
Even the furniture can be skated over, as well as the outside area of the house. The interior style is rather minimalist but not cold. The wood tones, warm up the atmosphere. We cannot ignore the sustainability of the house either. The plan was designed in such manner that it would ensure natural ventilation, so an AC won’t be required. Also, all the energy of the house is fully provided by solar and wind power.
