Summer Cave House is an exotic holiday home located in the traditional village of Oia on the Greek island of Santorini. Besides, it is designed with a contemporary twist of the volcanic landscape and cubistic architecture of Santorini.
This cave house is a transformation, done recently in 2017 by Greek Studio, Kapsimalis Architects. Besides, the compact and elegant design of this summer cave house with a high cliff view overlooking the sea gives the perfect summer vibes. Moreover, the amorphous curves were transitioned into sculptural living space with a nest-like modern elegance.
The Interior of this house includes a sitting room with a small kitchen, two bedrooms, a hammam, and a sauna. Additionally, a twisted staircase connects the cave house to the main exterior yard with a pool hanging on the volcanic cliffs.
The exterior yard of this exotic summer house is based on a minimalistic design platform with a spectacular volcano-sea view. Besides, the infinity pool, along with semi-open vaulted space aside (used for dining and lounging facilities), makes it a perfect terrace with convenience at its best.
As a result, the instant transition from shadow to light with the openness of the yard and closeness of the cave-house creates a perfect amalgamation. In conclusion, a heavenly place for relaxation and retreat for the residents.
